Before J.R.R. Tolkien and C.S. Lewis released their respective literary masterpieces for which they are known today, they obscurely met regularly with several friends, also writers, where they would read pieces of their works aloud. Feedback would ensue, friendships would be forged, and literary giants would emerge. They called themselves the Inklings.
